'SAINSBURY'S'
SUPERMARKET
Sainsbury's are building a new store on the Castle Street site in Dursley.
Groundworks are well advanced but work is reportedly stopping until June
while they redesign the store and seek Planning Permission again,
this time for a 'green'/energy-saving building.
Illustrated below are the store's location, preliminary design (now superseded);
and the, now demolished, youth club, fire towerand fire station
and college building formerly on the site.
